For this recent project, Language Connections had to provide interpretation services for Spanish, Russian, Cape Verdean/Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Chinese speakers. Additionally, the subject matter of the meetings and workshops greatly varied. Considering the fact that the subject matter was highly technical at these virtual gatherings, Language Connections went to great lengths to secure interpreters with an extensive background in the subject of each meeting in order to ensure interpretation accuracy. Zoom Interpretation With an Eye for Innovation

Language Connections also demonstrated its innovative spirit during the course of this remote simultaneous interpretation project. Because this video remote interpreting services project involved the use of 3 different languages in a single meeting session, L.C. needed to make sure that all participants were able to understand each other. Therefore, L.C. created protocol for its interpreters that required them to repeat questions asked by participants in order to ensure that the other interpreters would be able to interpret for other participants in their corresponding language group. This system, though time-consuming, turned out to work exceptionally well and fostered audience engagement despite the virtual setting.
