INTERPRETER TRAINING PROGRAMS WE OFFER:
BENEFITS OF INTERPRETER TRAINING
Professional interpreters are expected to not only be fluent in both English and their target language, but to possess a unique skillset and knowledge base that allows them to verbally translate word for word without mistakes.
As such, it is imperative for individuals to gain training and experience – both providing interpretation consecutively and simultaneously, and in the subject matter of their chosen industry specialization.
Language Connections ensures this with all of our interpreter training programs, by developing courses that provide the basic knowledge needed to work in medical, legal, and business settings. This curriculum is taught in both English and the target language of the group, so students have experience communicating technical topics in both languages. Students practice the most frequently used modes of interpretation through role plays and activities in class.
TRAINING FOR HIGH-DEMAND LANGUAGES
We recognize the increasingly large diversity of languages spoken throughout the country and the state, and as such offer our training programs in some of the most prevalent languages in the Boston area. If you do not see the language you wish to train in listed below, please contact our team directly about setting up a language group!
Please note that in order to be eligible to take our interpreter training courses you must be fluent in both English and one of the aforementioned languages.

WHY CHOOSE LANGUAGE CONNECTIONS?
At Language Connections we know the interpretation industry inside out – our team has provided interpreters from the community level all the way up to the United Nations. This insight into the field, as well as a team made up of past and present interpreters, gives us the unique ability to tailor our interpreter training to current industry demands and expectations.
All of our courses are taught by full-time professionals working in their respective fields. Additionally, each program runs for a total of seven weeks, giving students a foundation of interpretation skills as well as a background on industry specific terminology and concepts in English and their target language.
All of our class sizes are small, encouraging students to maximize their exposure to coaches and to build lasting connections with their classmates.
