The Role:

Language Connections (Boston, MA) is seeking a self motivated and creative part-time Language Services and Training Coordinator.  In this position, you will promote LC language services and language training to potential clients, communicate with existing clients, respond to inquiries, send quotes, monitor and coordinate requests for language services and language training, provide customer service support.  A successful candidate would be detail-oriented, energetic and highly organized with an exceptional ability to multi-task.

Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree

An intern at our company is given much more responsibility than at most other organizations. We value the input of every member of our team. If you are a self-motivated individual you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of our business. This is currently an unpaid position, but in the future it may lead to a full time situation for the right individual.

A prospective candidate would have the ability to learn about the language services industry, while gaining knowledge and practical experience in marketing and sales techniques.

These techniques include working with customer relationship management systems including SalesForce and Constant Contact, managing outreach to existing and newly developed leads, and assisting in the development of strategies for entry in key markets.

Language Connections is looking for a creative, engaging, talented and experienced ESL instructor for our corporate group classes in Louisville, KY for part-time employment starting on October 1, 2017 for afternoon teaching assignments.

 

 

 

Main Responsibilities:
– Teach beginner ESL classes and monitor students’ progress.

– Submit regular progress reports

– Prepare classes and implement lesson plans

– Assign and correct homework and tests

– Assist in the process of curriculum review and development

 

Schedule:

Requirements:

INTERPRETING PROJECT MANAGER

The interpretation department at Language Connections oversees the provision of spoken linguistic services to a large portfolio of clients in Massachusetts and across the United States. We regularly work in industries including Academia, the Life Sciences, Law, and Business, and contract interpreters at various experience levels for over 100 languages.

Our team is currently looking for an energetic, driven, and detail oriented individual to join our growing interpretation department! This position is full-time, with an immediate start date.

 

 

The Role:

As an Interpreting Coordinator/Project Manager you will serve as a point of contact between clients and multilingual vendors. You are responsible for managing projects of varying complexity, which will include coordinating interpretation vendors as well as managing project workflows and processes.

The Interpreting Coordinator/Project Manager is also accountable for ensuring quality work from all interpretation vendors, accurate recording of project finances and data, and maintaining and recording necessary information regarding client relationships.

 

Main activities include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing projects: this includes partaking in the process of planning out interpreting services for conferences/meetings/workshops etc., screening and hiring freelance interpreters and interpreting equipment vendors, negotiating rates and deadlines with clients and vendors, maintaining clear prompt communication between all parties, and invoicing.
  • Adopting, creating and implementing systems and protocols to ensure flawless project implementation.
  • Managing and updating information in interpreting vendors’ database on a regular basis.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all financial and project/client relationship information using our Project Management System XTRF (including project scope, revenue, cost, payment status, records of correspondences, vendors’ invoices, etc.).
  • Ensuring clear prompt communication between all parties, with great attention to detail and ability to prioritize.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA and/or BS degree is expected; a degree in Business, Marketing, Translation and/or Interpretation or equivalent experience could be advantageous.
  • Superb written and spoken English. Fluency in other languages is a major plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency with computers and common software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, html, xml).
  • Proven multi-tasking skills—the ability to prioritize in high paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously, dealing with time-sensitive materials and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate accurately detailed instructions to multilingual vendors.
