You will have an opportunity to make international contacts, as well as learn about the technology and processes involved in the world of modern language services. Translator and Interpreter Opportunities

SALES POSITION

Are you confident and self-motivated? Do you want the chance to manage and own client growth strategy for an international business?

Our team is seeking an individual to help us by promoting and selling our services, as well as developing new and promising leads.  A prospective candidate would have the ability to learn about the language services industry, while applying past experience and knowledge about sales techniques.

The successful candidate will have some experience working with customer relationship management systems, including SalesForce and Constant Contact.  They’ll also be skilled at managing outreach to existing and newly developed leads, and assisting in the development of strategies for entry in key markets.

Internship Opportunities

TRANSLATION  AND  INTERPRETING  PROJECT  MANAGEMENT  INTERNSHIP  PROGRAMS

 

project_managers at the tableOur six-month Translation and Interpreting Project Management Training Program is designed for linguistics and translation students who are interested in acquiring expertise in professional translation project management.

An intern at our company is given much more responsibility than at most other organizations. We value the input of every member of our team. If you are a self-motivated individual you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of our business. This is currently an unpaid position, but in the future it may lead to a full time situation for the right individual.

Qualifications:

  • Students or graduates in linguistics, translation, or related studies
  • Some experience in the fields of translation, interpretation, or linguistics would be an asset
  • Candidates must have a detail-oriented personality and a strong sense of accountability
  • Academic or work experience in an international environment is advantageous
  • Proficiency with computers and the most common software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
  • Superb written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of other languages is helpful, but not a requirement for this position

MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Marketing interns gain knowledge and practical experience in managing blogs and website content as well as innovative marketing techniques utilizing social media tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, etc.  Training will be provided for using and coordinating various data bases.

ESL Instructor, Part-Time Position

Language Connections is looking for a creative, engaging, talented and experienced ESL instructor for our corporate group classes in Louisville, KY for part-time employment starting ASAP for afternoon teaching assignments. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach beginner ESL classes and monitor students’ progress.
  • Submit regular progress reports
  • Prepare classes and implement lesson plans
  • Assign and correct homework and tests
  • Assist in the process of curriculum review and development

 

Schedule:

Wednesday & Friday: 2 pm – 4 pm

Tuesday & Thursday: 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm

 

Location:

Louisville, KY

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • TEFL/TESOL Certificate
  • Minimum one year of ESL teaching experience
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Detail oriented, creative, dynamic, patient and positive
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Experience living abroad and learning a second language is a plus
