German Interpreting for Art Event
Boston, MA December 28, 2015 – Language Connections, a language service provider, often works with local Higher Education institutions to provide education translation services and interpreting. We recently provided German consecutive interpreting services for an art opening at a university’s Center for European Studies.
The exhibit featured the work of Barbara Klemm, a photojournalist who has been taking photographs in Germany for over 40 years. Her photographs document some of the most important events in recent German history including the fall of the Berlin Wall and the subsequent German Unification.
German Interpreting Services
The Department for European Studies at the university required a German consecutive interpreter for Barbara Klemm’s opening remarks and the Question & Answer session that followed. Language Connections selected an experienced German interpreter who was prepared to talk about these events in German history and who could thus provide excellent consecutive interpreting for all participants. The interpreter showed professionalism as well as an appropriate sensitivity toward the historical-political implications of the discussion.
