Clinical Trials in Latin America

As the number of outsourced clinical trials continues to increase in emerging Latin American countries, sponsors must address new challenges. Despite the single translation requirement, with the exception of Portuguese in Brazil, regional dialects in each country must be considered. Implementing new measures to overcome cultural differences and socioeconomic barriers will not only better protect patient rights but it will also improve the quality of clinical research in the region.
