Translation Services for Two Clients Via One Project

Boston, Mass. – Language Connections, a Boston-based language services company with nearly three decades of experience, recently provided a content creation and branding consulting company with our business translation services. This project was unique because it allowed us to prove ourselves to not one, but two clients at the same time

The Uses of Translation Services

For this project, we had two clients to impress as we translated multiple articles from English to Spanish: the consulting company and their client (the largest provider of mobile telephone services in the U.S.), whose content we were translating.  These campaign posts are a resource for parents that would educate them about their children’s digital world. They contained articles with resources that help parents learn and understand more about their child’s technology use. For this project specifically, we utilized a professional translator who had the background to handle articles about cyber bullying and gaming platforms.

The type of Spanish that these articles were translated to is a specific type of Spanish, often referred to as a ‘US version.’ This version is distinct from the Latin and Spain versions of Spanish. Additionally, the US version of Spanish is more generic, less formal, and allows for more English words within the vocabulary. This Spanish was chosen because it would be easier for a broader audience to read, thus making the articles more accessible to the client’s customers.

Results

Language Connections was excited to have the opportunity to supply top level corporate translation services to such a prestigious end client, as well as an additional client. This particular project also allowed us to help our clients with an important goal: offering professional translating skills that contribute to resources for positive changes in the relationships between parents, children, and technology.
