February 2017- Boston, MA – Language Connections, a Boston translation services company, provides professional conference interpreting services for top academic institutions across the country. One of our clients, Brown University, hosted an event at the Watson Institute of Public Affairs which required our Spanish simultaneous interpreting services for Latin American representatives attending the conference. The Spanish interpreting focused on issues regarding sexual and reproductive health services offered by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) in Latin America.
The Watson Institute International & Public Affairs is a Brown University institution that aims to address global challenges. International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a non-profit organization that works through local members and volunteers all over the world to help overcome discrimination and other barriers to sexual and reproductive health.The Institute hosted representatives from IPPF for this event to discuss and address women’s health issues in Latin America.
Spanish Simultaneous Interpreting Services
We provided Spanish simultaneous interpreting services for a Latin American audience attending the Conference entitled “Research on Sexual and Reproductive Health in Latin America and the Caribbean: Toward High-Quality, Rights-Based Approaches.” The conference focused on a variety of topics such as adolescent fertility and pregnancy, and gender-based violence in the region. Staff representing IPPF member organizations from the region included attendees from Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
