Multilingual Translation Services for MIT GEA Program

Boston, MA – September 17, 2015 – Language Connections, a global language service provider based in Boston, works often with Higher Education institutions. We partnered with MIT Sloan School of Management for the third consecutive year during their Global Executive Academy (GEA) Education Program, an international management training program for business executives. Our role during the program is multifaceted: We provide comprehensive academic conference services, including multilingual translation services of marketing and lecture materials, and coordinate interpreting services.

The MIT Sloan GEA Education Program is geared toward executives from all over the world. Taught by MIT Sloan faculty, topics include a wide variety of management areas, from leadership and marketing to innovation and negotiations. The program is geared toward non-native English speakers allowing for a multilingual experience. Lecture materials are translated and simultaneous interpretation is provided during all presentations in the native language of attendees, including Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese.

Multilingual Translation Services

This year we translated the pre-program marketing materials into the following five languages: Russian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese. Only some of the non-native English speakers required multilingual translation of the educational and lecture materials into their native languages. During the lectures and PowerPoint presentations, we provided Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian simultaneous interpreting and relay interpreting as needed. In addition to selecting teams of high-level interpreters for the program, we were also responsible for supplying interpreting equipment - interpreter booths and headsets for all of the participants. Our experience from previous years allows us to seamlessly coordinate comprehensive linguistic support throughout the 10-day program.
