Mandarin Simultaneous Interpreters for Meetings Between China and the US

Boston, MA – Language Connections, long considered a best translation services company in the Boston area, recently offered interpreters for meetings between government representatives from China and the US. These meetings focused on financial systems of the 21st century. We are proud to have served our longtime client at these meetings as their translation company for the 7th year in a row.

Simultaneous Interpreters for Meetings Between China and the US

Language Connections has been offering clients conference interpreting services for nearly 30 years. We were pleased to provide professional translators for this series of meetings, an annual China – US Symposium event. The symposium is held in the US every other year, and this year it was held at Washington D.C.

Our first challenge for this project was to allocate appropriate interpreters for this important event. The attendees of this event were governmental participants associated with Harvard Law School. Because the program was on International Financial Systems, it required highly-skilled interpreters for meetings with advanced degrees. On top of being skillful in Mandarin, they also had to have extensive and up-to-date knowledge about international finance.  Since the very best interpreters for the job did not live in the DC-area, we handled the logistics of their flights and hotels, as well.

Our second challenge was to supply interpreting equipment. We used a full booth and 150 headsets for the main part of the three-day conference.  There were some smaller additional breakout sessions that required Mandarin simultaneous interpretation. We also used simultaneous interpreting booths (and additional interpreters) for that day.
