Mandarin Chinese Translation for MIT Boeing

Boston, MA – November 2016 – Language Connections, a translation and interpreting services agency based in Boston,is a provider of linguistic services for many international academic events at higher education institutions in the Boston area. We often provide education translation services and interpreting for conferences and executive education courses held at MIT and other ivy league universities.

In a recent project we provided Mandarin Chinese translation services for a course taught jointly by MIT Sloan School of Management and a top university Law School professors at MIT. The course, the 2016 Boeing China Executive Development Program, is designed to bring together executives from the Chinese National Development Reform Commission (NDRC) with leaders in the aviation industry from Boeing to discuss issues regarding security and safety in public aviation. Our role was to translate all program materials from English into Mandarin Chinese.

Mandarin Chinese Translation Services

Our client, requested that in addition to PowerPoint slide presentations, we also provide Chinese translation services of faculty bios, the program schedule, signs to guide students during the program, and student feedback forms used at the end of the program. Presentation slides required professional DTP services (Desktop Publishing Services) to replace English texts with the Chinese translations so that the non-editable image tables, graphs and diagrams were properly formatted. We selected a team of highly skilled Chinese translators with a strong background in the technical and legal aspects presented in the program, and our project managers implemented their professional InDesign skills for the Chinese translations.
