Linguistic Support for MIT’s Global Executive Academy Program

Boston, MA – August 15, 2016 – MIT Sloan School of Management offers an annual management training program, Global Executive Academy (GEA), for which we have provided full linguistic support, including translation and interpreting services, since its inception. This innovative program is designed to help executives and senior managers improve their general management skills. Since the program is offered simultaneously in multiple languages to participants from around the globe, it requires full linguistic support.

Power point translation for ESPN speakers in Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese

As a language service provider for the program, Language Connections is responsible for translating multimedia materials, including brochures and marketing materials, website information related to the program, and accompanying lecture materials and PowerPoint presentations. During the presentations, our interpreters also interpret from English into the native languages of the participants.

Power point translation for ESPN speakers in Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese This year’s GEA program required our expert translation services and simultaneous interpreting in Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Spanish. The 2016 lectures included topics on marketing, innovation, finance, and leadership capabilities. Our simultaneous interpreters were situated in soundproof booths during the presentations while monitors designated for each of the three languages displayed the PowerPoint slides. During group discussions, the interpreters facilitated communication through the process of relay interpreting.
