Latin American Conference Interpreting Services

Boston, MA –Language Connections, which is among the oldest Boston-based interpretation and translation services companies (with nearly 30 years of experience), recently provided conference interpreting services for the International Association of Privacy Professionals.  The IAPP asked Language Connections to offer a corporate interpreter or two for a panel about Latin American regulatory updates.

Language Connections provided a few solutions for the IAPP’s event.  Firstly, we found interpreters for conferences that could handle the wide array of dialects and accents from the panel participants.  Since this panel was comprised of Latin American professionals from various countries, their Spanish and their accents varied.  This was IAPP’s biggest concern when they were shopping for conference interpreting agencies: handling a panel with some significant linguistic differences—even though everyone spoke Spanish.

The second solution that Language Connections provided IAPP was conference interpreting that withstood the deep, legal technical matter of the program.  This client noted that a previous company interpreter that they’d worked with did not have the correct background.  This resulted in some subpar, confusing conference interpreting services.

The last solution was technical equipment.  This equipment ensured a clear, uninterrupted delivery.  Language Connections set up a full booth and 80 receivers in addition to our two interpreters for conferences.
