Language Connections is proud to highlight our recent collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM). As a trusted provider of medical conference interpretation services, we supported St. Jude’s multilingual communication needs for two major global health initiatives. This partnership reflects our commitment to linguistic excellence, high-quality interpreting services, and seamless coordination for complex international programs.

Medical Conference Interpretation Services for Global Health

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital engaged our team for two significant initiatives:

• A high-profile UN General Assembly (UNGA) Side Event held in September at UN Headquarters in New York

• The Global Stakeholder Dialogue webinar in October, hosted with the World Health Organization (WHO)

Both projects required tailored workflows, rapid communication, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving needs.

Medical Conference Interpretation Services at the UNGA

During the planning stages of the UNGA event, our project managers worked closely with the St. Jude team to prepare for multilingual delivery, including collecting materials to brief the interpreter team and coordinating on-site logistics.

We provided interpreter services in Russian, Spanish, and French. On the day of the event, our interpreters arrived fully prepared and ready to perform in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. St. Jude expressed deep appreciation for their professionalism, noting that the interpreters remained patient, understanding, and highly effective even when unexpected challenges arose.

Remote Medical Conference Interpretation for a Webinar

Soon after the UNGA program, St. Jude again partnered with Language Connections for a virtual event requiring remote simultaneous interpretation in Russian, Spanish, Arabic, and French. The Global Stakeholder Dialogue brought together more than 500 participants and required careful coordination across multiple organizations and time zones.

Our project managers coordinated a team of eight interpreters, arranged early access to interpretation links, conducted thorough technical checks, and worked with St. Jude and WHO organizers to configure Zoom language channels. Internal feedback emphasized how well-prepared the interpreters were and how seamless the multilingual experience felt for attendees.
