Chinese Interpreter for Ivy League University China Symposia
Sept 2017, Boston MA – Language Connections, a Boston interpreting and translation services provider, works with various Higher Learning Institutions to provide conference interpreting services on a regular basis.
We regularly provide education translation services and interpreting for one of the top ivy league universities in the Boston area. Recently they asked us to provide Chinese interpreting services for their law school’s biannual China Summit.
What is the China Symposia?
The university’s law school hosts a variety of international academic conferences for which we are regularly asked to provide interpreting services, among which is the annual China Symposia hosted by the Program on International Financial Systems. The China Symposia lasts for three days and is composed of various panel discussions and small group sessions held by experts in Chinese and U.S. economics and finance.
These panels and discussions focus on financial and regulatory issues that affect Chinese and U.S. professionals and policy making. This year’s summit, which took place in New York, was focused on financial issues affecting China and the U.S. in the 21st century.
Simultaneous Chinese Interpreter Services
Our multiple Chinese simultaneous interpreting teams facilitated during the keynote and closing speeches, panel discussions and small group sessions that took place as part of the symposia.
Topics ranged from US-China relations and economic growth to deregulation of capital controls. All discussions required simultaneous interpretation by our expert Chinese interpreters. The interpreters were selected for their background in Chinese and U.S. finance and economics, in addition to their linguistic abilities.
