We provide linguistic services for several departments at a Cambridge-based university, including the School of Government. In a recent event, the client requested that we provide certified Spanish interpreting services for discussions and speeches during the visit of Mexico City’s mayor, Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera.
The university’s School of Government regularly hosts international leaders to allow for idea exchange and provide an opportunity to discuss global challenges. Transforming Mexico City: A Discussion with Mexico City’s Mayor, part one of their program with Mexican leadership, began at the academic setting where discussions focused on working together to improve conditions in Mexico City. This was followed by a second event held at the Boston City Hall where the signing of a Joint Declaration on Cooperation between Boston’s Mayor Walsh and Mexico City’s Mayor Mancera took place.
Each mayor also gave a ceremonial speech promoting the bond between the two cities in their respective native language. Both this ceremony and the discussion required professional simultaneous interpretation in order for all parties involved to participate.

Certified Spanish Simultaneous Interpreting Services
Our certified Spanish interpreter facilitated back and forth between discussions that took place at the university.We selected an interpreter who is a native Mexican Spanish speaker to ensure that the interpreted speech was accurately conveyed. At the Boston City Hall our linguist interpreted from English into Spanish during Mayor Walsh’s speech and then from Spanish into English during Mayor Mancera’s speech.
