Brochure Translation for a Prestigious University Program

Spanish Brochure Translation
Language Connections needed to meet a few criteria from our client for this project: handling the formatting so that the brochure looked the same once translated into Spanish and also working within a tight timeframe. Our project managers tackled the first criteria after the professional translator was done. Language Connections project managers frequently handle desktop publishing for clients, carefully adding the newly translated text back into a formatted document. This process can get tricky because, depending on the language, text can expand or contract dramatically. Project managers use desktop publishing software to make sure the original look of the brochure is maintained, no matter how much text is lost or gained when using translation services. For this brochure translation project, the text expanded by about 25%, requiring our project managers to rearrange and resize some items in the brochure design to fit everything (without the final product looking squished).
The second piece of criteria our client required in this brochure translation was to return the newly translated document in a tight timeframe. The client needed time to advertise their corporate training program, which has a global reach. Because of the widespread global nature of their target demographic, the client needed extra time to advertise the program. Language Connections placed a priority on this project, pushing through each phase with the utmost urgency.
