Healing from Boston Marathon Bombing
The Boston Marathon bombing and the events following it have profoundly touched all of us who live in and around the city of Boston. Our staff is still recovering from the shock along with the rest of the city.
As a language service company we are proud to participate in events aiding the healing process, including providing interpreting services during today’s memorial service at Boston University (BU) in honor of Lu Lingzi, the graduate student who was killed due to the Boston Marathon bombing last week.
Language Connections provided English to Mandarin Chinese interpreting for the student’s family attending the BU ceremony, as well as Chinese to English during Lu Lingzi’s father’s speech. The event was broadcast both in the United States and in China, bringing the two countries closer during this time of mourning. In light of the circumstances we are providing these services pro bono.
