Professional Translating for the City of Boston

Boston, MA – Language Connections, an interpretation and translation services company with nearly 30 years of experience, recently provided professional translating services to the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement for the City of Boston. This project was particularly special for us because we were able to provide our services to a returning client concerning relevant and influential topic.

How Professional Translating Can Support Women’s Advancement

For this project, Language Connections utilized a professional translator to translate an American Association of University Women attendee workbook from English to neutral Spanish. This type of neutral Spanish was used in order to reach a broader audience, so the workbook was accessible to most Spanish speakers, no matter their origin.

The Office of Women’s Advancement utilized the American Association of University Women, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that empowers women and girls though research, education, and advocacy, workbook. This workbook would be provided for those attending an event named Work Smart salary negotiation workshop. This specific workshop speaks to the gender pay gap and how women can break through the economic barriers they face. It establishes that those who take this workshop, most likely professional English and Spanish speaking women living in the United States, should leave the workshop with a refreshed sense of confidence, new negotiation skills, and a bigger support system.

This is not the first time we have helped this client translate documents in a project. We are proud to have cultivated a relationship with the Office of Women Advancement and believe that this relationship reflects the value we place on our clients.
